Avoid washing your bowl in a dishwasher or using metal scourers. Harsh treatment may result in scratching the surface. Please note this coating has been certified food safe and will not harm your loved one.

At Bendo, we recommend opting for gentle detergents and avoiding harsh chemicals or antibacterial cleaning products when cleaning your stainless steel products. Some of these chemicals, such as halogen salts (chlorine, fluorine, bromine, iodine), Triclosan-containing antibacterial agents, and bleach or bleach-containing cleaners, can lead to rusting in stainless steel. To ensure the longevity of your stainless steel products, it's important to check the ingredients of your detergent and ensure that they don't contain any of these materials.

When it comes to caring for your stainless steel products, it's important to steer clear of metal cleaning pads and utensils. Steel wool, for instance, is made from carbon steel and can easily rust. Using it on stainless steel can result in the deposition of "free iron", which isn't shielded by chromium and can speed up rusting.

How to remove rust marks: Mix some baking soda with vinegar (apple cider or white vinegar) until you reach the consistency of a paste. Spread the paste over the surface of the stainless steel. Allow it to sit for about 10 minutes (up to a few hours if you have very stubborn rust). Scrub the paste over the stainless steel surface with a scratch-free scrubbing pad using a circular motion. Rinse the bowl thoroughly with warm water, then perform a regular soap-and-water wash followed by drying by hand.
